June Lockhart: A Timeless Career in Entertainment
June Lockhart has entertained generations, from her role as Ruth Martin on Lassie (1958-1964) to Dr. Maureen Robinson on Lost in Space (1955-1968). She’s also appeared in Petticoat Junction, Beverly Hills 90210, and General Hospital.
Her career, spanning decades, includes recent work like The Remake (2016). Lockhart also developed a close association with NASA in the 1970s due to her interest in space exploration.
Married twice, she has two children with her first husband. Her debut in A Christmas Carol (1938), alongside her parents, remains a cherished memory. Despite being in her 90s, she says, “I feel 55,” and continues to stay active and work.
