Authorities received reports of an unusual occurrence at a neighbor’s home from several residents of a Dutch village.
In a Dutch village, residents grew suspicious of a neighbor’s house after noticing something odd during heavy snowfall—while snow covered all other roofs, one part of the house remained clear, raising concerns. This led locals to call the police, suspecting foul play.
Upon investigation, authorities discovered a cannabis-growing operation inside the house. The heat from the grow lights used to cultivate the plants prevented snow from accumulating on the roof, thus revealing the illegal activity. While personal marijuana use is tolerated in the Netherlands, cultivating more than five plants at home is illegal, and the homeowner now faces serious legal consequences.
