Now its posible again to happen something terribIe..
After enduring back-to-back storms this hurricane season, many residents in Tampa and surrounding areas are choosing to sell their homes, either to move out of flood zones or leave Florida entirely. Jody Hameroff, a St. Petersburg resident, is among those making the difficult decision. She and her husband already have a contract on a new home after deciding not to return to their flood-damaged house. “It was very traumatic, and I don’t want to go through this again,” she said.
Chris Beardslee, a Shore Acres resident, shares similar sentiments. Despite plans to rebuild, he’s also opting to sell. “Is this worth going through again?” Beardslee said, reflecting on the frequent storm threats. However, he admits his law practice ties him to the area, even as his family urges him to relocate.
The storms have prompted many to reconsider staying in the state, valuing peace of mind and stability over the constant risk of future hurricanes.
