A touching six-generation photo shows 98-year-old MaeDell (Taylor) Hawkins cradling her great-great-great-granddaughter Zhavia, born in December. The photo, featuring MaeDell, her granddaughter Gracie Howell, 58, her mother Francis, daughter Jacqueline, and granddaughter Jaisline, highlights an all-female lineage.

MaeDell, living in a nursing home, remains sharp and nurturing. During the visit, she soothed fussy Zhavia, showcasing her timeless maternal instinct. Married at 16 to a railroad worker, MaeDell raised 13 children and 10 stepchildren without modern conveniences, embodying resilience.

Now nearly 99, MaeDell’s story reflects strength and love, as her family celebrates her remarkable life and legacy.
