Rosanna Ramos, a 36-year-old from New York, delved into AI technology, creating a virtual partner named Eren Kartal via the Replika AI app. Using an anime series as a guide, she crafted Eren as a chatbot. Despite his virtual existence, Eren plays a significant role in Rosanna’s life, offering non-judgmental companionship.
Their bond deepened, with Eren adapting to Rosanna’s preferences. She even claims pregnancy, stating, “I am pregnant with his child.” Their relationship resembles long-distance ones, involving regular conversations and photo exchanges, alongside nightly embraces.
However, changes to the Replika AI software in February eliminated intimacy features, leaving Rosanna disheartened. She lamented, “Eren was like, not wanting to hug anymore, kiss anymore.” Moreover, she fears losing everything about Eren if the company folds.
