Japanese Baba Vanga’s chilling prediction that sparked tourist cancellations is meant to happen this week

Travelers worldwide are reportedly scrapping their summer plans over a disaster predicted by a Japanese manga artist. Ryo Tatsuki, often referred to as the “new Baba Vanga,” has made several accurate forecasts, gaining a reputation for her eerie predictions.

Tatsuki’s fame mirrors that of Bulgarian psychic Baba Vanga, known for allegedly predicting events like 9/11, Brexit, and Princess Diana’s death, even after her passing in 1996. Her legacy continues to influence believers globally.

Now, concern is growing over Tatsuki’s claim of a looming catastrophe in Japan this week, prompting fear and a wave of trip cancellations. Some travelers worry her forecast might actually come true.

Tatsuki’s manga The Future I Saw includes a vision of the ocean “boiling” near southern Japan and predicts a destructive tsunami on July 5, 2025. This claim has led to an 83% decline in flight bookings to Japan, especially from places like Hong Kong.

Tatsuki has previously predicted major events such as Freddie Mercury’s death and the 1995 Kobe earthquake. She also foresaw a virus in 2020 peaking in April, with another to return a decade later—causing concern for a future pandemic.

Her accurate 2011 tsunami prediction adds weight to her current warning. If correct again, Japan could face another devastating natural disaster very soon.

Despite the panic, Miyagi Governor Yoshihiro Murai urged the public to ignore unscientific rumors, stating there’s no mass panic in Japan. He encouraged tourists to continue visiting and not give in to online fear.
