On Her Wedding Day, Bride Is Terrified When Her Supposedly Dead Fiancé Appears among the Guests — Story of the Day
The Unexpected Guest
Sarah was on the verge of tears on what was supposed to be her happiest day. She was marrying Frank Melville to secure her father’s business alliance, but her heart belonged to David, her true love who had died three years ago.
As she walked down the aisle, she spotted a man in a wheelchair with a bouquet of wildflowers. It was David, alive. “Sarah, please don’t do this,” he said.
Sarah was stunned. “David? I’m mad…I must be mad…”
“It’s me,” David said. “I’m alive. I thought you’d be better off without me.”
“I’ve been dead without you! The only thing that kept me alive was our baby, Rachel,” she cried.
David turned to Sarah’s father, Greg. “You never told me there was a baby!”
Greg admitted paying David to stay away. Sarah, realizing the truth, turned to Frank. “I’m sorry, Frank, I can’t marry you.”
Sarah walked back down the aisle and embraced David. Her father threatened her, but her grandmother silenced him, promising her wealth to Sarah and David instead.
Sarah and David married and lived happily with their daughter, Rachel, in a small house. They knew they didn’t need luxury as long as they had each other.
