8-Year-Old Paints A Masterful Portrait Of Jesus, Claiming To Have Seen His True Face
Akiane Kramarik’s painting “Prince of Peace,” a serene depiction of Jesus created when she was just 8 years old, recently resurfaced after a tumultuous journey. Stolen, mistakenly sold, and hidden for 16 years, the painting finally returned to public view.
Now 28 years old, Akiane is not only a best-selling author and philanthropist but also an artist whose work is deeply inspired by spiritual visions. Despite growing up in a non-religious household in Idaho, Akiane experienced a profound spiritual awakening that led her to paint “Prince of Peace.” She described her inspiration as coming from God, emphasizing the soft and lovely voice guiding her.
Her family, initially surprised by her sudden spiritual turn, supported Akiane as she embarked on her artistic journey. The painting itself was inspired by a vision of a carpenter, which Akiane had prayed for. After encountering a carpenter resembling Jesus, she was certain he was the model for her painting.
After enduring legal battles, Akiane successfully recovered “Prince of Peace” and sold it to a private collector. Today, the painting is showcased at the Belóved Gallery in Marble Falls, Texas. Reflecting on its return, Akiane expressed her surreal feelings about the painting’s journey and emphasized the enduring power of love.
