Popular singer has died in a freak accident on stage
Brazilian rock star Ayres Sasaki, 35, tragically died on stage in Salinopolis, Brazil, on July 13. The incident occurred when a fan in wet clothes hugged him during a concert, causing an electric shock that killed him instantly. The exact circumstances are still under investigation.
Sasaki, also an architect, had been married to his wife Mariana for only 11 months. His sudden death has shocked fans and loved ones.
“He was a great friend, very family-oriented,” said fellow musician Adriano Freitas, remembering Sasaki’s talent and dedication. Sasaki was known for his generosity and was once called the “king of encores” for performing 12 hours straight.
