Riley Strain’s body recovered from Nashville river, police confirm


The body of Riley Strain, a Missouri college student missing for two weeks, was discovered in the Cumberland River in West Nashville. Metro Nashville Police recovered his body around 7:30 a.m. Friday. No signs of foul play were evident, and an autopsy is pending. Strain was last seen on March 8, asked to leave Luke Bryan’s 32 Bridge Bar in downtown Nashville. Surveillance footage captured him crossing the street from the bar and engaging with police.

The next day, his fraternity brothers, with whom he was in Nashville, reported him missing. Despite extensive search efforts, no clues emerged until March 16, when his bank card was found along the riverbank. Updates on this developing story will be provided as more information becomes available.
