Michael J. Fox gets teary-eyed when speaking of wife’s support
Michael J. Fox’s Emotional Tribute to Wife’s Support
When Michael J. Fox recalls his wife Tracy Pollan’s steadfast support, tears well up. Tracy’s commitment to him since his Parkinson’s diagnosis, just three years into their marriage, is unwavering. “One of the things I’ll always love Tracy for is that at that moment, she didn’t blink,” Fox shares emotionally.
Their love story began during the hit show “Family Ties,” where Pollan played Fox’s on-screen girlfriend. Despite his rising fame, it was game over for Fox when he met Pollan. Married in 1988, their bond only strengthened as Fox’s career soared.
In 1991, Fox received the devastating diagnosis. Reflecting on his journey, he acknowledges the certainty of the diagnosis and the uncertainty ahead. “My wife made it clear that she was with me for the duration,” he shares.
Their children, Sam, Aquinnah, Schuyler, and Esmé, bring them joy and resilience. Fox expresses gratitude for Tracy’s unwavering support over 35 years. Despite his condition, Fox remains sharp and is dedicated to finding a cure through his foundation.
Their enduring love proves that in sickness and in health, they are each other’s greatest champions.
